May we bring our children to Satori?

Yes. We welcome you and your children. We have lots of activities for your children and we can also organize nannies and baby sitters for you so you can enjoy a quiet day by the pool, a quiet night out or a party night on the beach.

What is the weather like at Satori?

In Galle province, the sun generally shines all year round. Temperatures hover around 80F and you can expect a quick burst of rain that clears the air most late afternoons/evenings.

Which is the best season to visit?

The driest part of the year falls between December and April. The monsoon brings daily cloud bursts June/July and October/November but rarely is there a full day of rain. Thankfully, the ambience at Satori means there’s nothing better than curling up to read a good book, play backgammon or scrabble, all in indulgent comfort while the rain feeds the surrounding vegetation.

What kind of activities can I do at Satori?

Swimming, fitness, yoga, meditation and walks around the jungle are immediately outside your bedroom door. Minutes from Satori, activities abound from body surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, bike rides through the rice fields, culture tours, and further a field jeep tours of Sri Lanka game reserves. For those that like serious exercise even on holiday ask about the “temple steps”

Are meals included in the rate?
 
 Breakfast is included in the B&B rate located on rates page, but lunch, dinner and drinks is usually organized through our kitty system where we can buy groceries for you at cost in the local town and our chefs will prepare meals of your choice.

What kind of transport arrangements is available from the airport/Colombo?

We are happy to arrange Airport/Colombo City collection and drop off and the cost is usually $100 each way. At the airport the driver will be waiting for you at the airport arrivals area with a bottle of water and a name plaque. We collect from any address and hotel in Colombo 24/7.

Do you have accommodation for drivers?

If you are visiting us after or during a tour of Sri Lanka we have secured accommodation for your drivers.

Can we pay on arrival?

Our room inventory is very small, therefore to guarantee a reservation we ask that you pay 50% at time of booking and the balance 30 days prior to arrival.
